A handbag with a story. A laugh. And a whole lot of craftsmanship.
My friend came to me with a request:
“I want a custom bag… but not just another bag.”
She already owns plenty of designer handbags — so many, in fact, that she sometimes has to hide new purchases from her husband.
That’s when I had an idea:
Let’s turn that story into the actual design.
She sent me a cartoon-style image of herself with a hilarious, shocked expression — the kind of look you'd make when you just bought another luxury bag. I carved that exact moment into leather, added two oversized shopping bags in her hands, and stitched the phrase:
“Don’t tell my husband.”
Process
This tote was entirely handmade in my studio:

The design began as a pencil sketch based on her cartoon

I carved the portrait into premium vegetable-tanned leather, then shaped and sculpted the surface for a 3D effect

Hand-dyed each element with multiple layers of color

Assembled and stitched every part by hand
It’s not just a handbag — it’s a wearable artwork full of humor, detail, and personality.
